how things work in b3b basketball:
🙋 Becoming a member:
The first thing to do is sign up for a free tryout via our system “Motivu”. You can do this via our website or here. Once you sign up, you will receive a confirmation email. You will also receive an email reminder one day before the training.
On the day of the training, you can just show up. It is also possible to send a message to the coach, if you have any questions. Remember to bring a water bottle 🥵 and comfortable clothes and shoes. If you can’t find the training venue, you can send a message to the coach. Most venues require a code to enter (126963+ok) and the code works 15 minutes before the training starts.
After the training, you will receive a link to sign up for the team. Talk to the coach or team leader if you have any questions, and you can always message b3bbasket@gmail.com.
🎽 For new members:
Communication:
Welcome to B3B! Our membership system is “Holdsport”, where you can see all the trainings. There is a chat function in Holdsport, but each team also has either a Whatsapp or Facebook Messenger group for communication. Make sure that you get added to the relevant groups (ask your coach or teammate).
Training schedule:
Once you are a member of B3B, you can join all trainings corresponding to your level, regardless of your location. For example, if you play on a beginner women’s team, you can join all beginner women trainings.
There is training every week except during public- and school holidays (for example week 7, week 13, week 26-32, week 52). We have many expats in the club who are not used to the Danish school calendar, so help each other on the team. Find a calendar here or you can Google: “Skoleferier og helligdage 2025”. We try to make sure that Holdsport is updated, but if you are ever in doubt, feel free to ask the coach or team.
Sometimes trainings are also cancelled if the school has tests and exams (in Mid-January and end-May/early June). In these cases, we usually find a replacement gym or train outside (in the summer!). This will also be updated on Holdsport.
Uniforms:
Each team has their own uniform for games and practice, personalized with name and number. You can order here. Make sure that nobody else on the team has the same number (usually teams have a document where they keep track). You can also order socks, t-shirts and shorts in different club designs.
đź’¸ Membership terms and pricing:
The payment is 250 kr. per month, paid via our membership system Holdsport. The first month there is an additional sign-up fee of 150 kr. Please note that payment is generated 24 hours after you sign up in Holdsport, for the same month that you sign up in. This means if you sign up in September, you receive a bill for September (regardless on whether you sign up on September 1st or 30th). Therefore, if your tryout training is late in the month, please wait until next month with signing up, if you only wish to start payment from the next month. Please also note that once you sign up, you are committed to paying the membership fee (so don’t sign up if you are just curious to look at our system – only sign up if you are actually joining a team!)
You can leave the club anytime, paying running month plus next month (+1 month cancellation period). However it is not possible to “pause” your membership – see below.
Most basketball clubs in Denmark offer either yearly or twice a year payment methods. That way minimum of 6 months membership is guaranteed. We wanted to meet the needs of those who wanted more flexible options and the ability to pay in smaller amounts. Therefore we created monthly payments, which definitely takes a lot more work to handle, but we think it is worth it. However to keep the same structure of sustainability and yearly income predictability, we cannot go further and offer “drop in – drop out” solutions for those who want to pause the membership. It is still the same 6 months commitment, divided in 6 payments. Therefore pausing membership for a month or a few months, is not possible. If you are away for 6 months or more, then you can leave the club and join again in the next period, paying the signup fee again.
Please also be aware that if you are not able to pay 250 kr. per month, it is an option to volunteer for the club and receive free membership. For children under 17 years, as well as refugees under 25 years, it is possible to play for free via aid from the municipality. In that case, please email us.
If you wish to leave the club, you can send a termination email b3bbasket@gmail.com. We delete members the following month after receiving the termination email, since we have +1 month cancellation period.
Who can join B3B Basketball?
B3B Basketball is open to everyone, regardless of age, gender, skill level, or background. B3B is the biggest beginner basketball club in Copenhagen, so no experience is needed! We also have teams that compete.
